This policy explains how Silvarovelle collects, uses, shares, stores, and removes personal data when customers browse the website, place orders, request support, arrange delivery, or use the return process. Silvarovelle operates within Hong Kong and acts as a data user under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486), known as the PDPO.
To process and deliver an order, Silvarovelle requires the customer’s name, telephone number, complete Hong Kong delivery address, selected products, quantities, and cash-on-delivery order information. These details are mandatory because Silvarovelle cannot accept, prepare, deliver, or administer an order without them.
An email address is optional unless the customer selects email as the communication channel. Building access instructions and preferred delivery guidance are also optional, although withholding them may delay or prevent delivery where the courier cannot access the address.
For an eligible return, the order reference, contact information, collection address, and explanation of the issue are mandatory. Photographs of the dress, packaging, and product label are optional where they cannot reasonably be supplied, although they may help Silvarovelle assess the request.
Bank account name, bank name, account number, and required transfer details become mandatory only after Silvarovelle confirms that an eligible refund must be issued by bank transfer. Customers must submit the requested details by email to outfits@silvarovelle.com. Without complete and accurate bank information, Silvarovelle cannot process the refund.
Silvarovelle may also collect correspondence, complaint records, return assessment information, delivery status, and website diagnostic information. Diagnostic information may include Internet Protocol address, browser type, device type, access time, requested pages, error records, and general interaction data.
Silvarovelle collects information directly through order forms, return forms, customer emails, telephone communications, courier updates, support requests, and documents or photographs voluntarily submitted by customers.
Website diagnostic information is collected automatically through hosting records, server logs, security systems, and website performance tools when a visitor accesses or interacts with the website. Silvarovelle uses this information to operate the website, search errors, maintain security, identify misuse, and understand general service performance.
Personal data is used to:
Withholding mandatory information may prevent Silvarovelle from accepting an order, arranging delivery or collection, responding to a return request, or completing a bank-transfer refund.
Silvarovelle may disclose only the information reasonably required to couriers, website hosting providers, communication providers, banks involved in refunds, information security providers, professional advisers, and governmental, regulatory, judicial, or law-enforcement authorities where disclosure is required or permitted by law.
Some service providers may store or process personal data within or outside Hong Kong, depending on their operating locations and infrastructure. Where a provider processes personal data outside Hong Kong for Silvarovelle, contractual or other appropriate measures will be used to address retention, confidentiality, security, sanctioned use, and access restrictions consistently with the PDPO.
Customers may contact outfits@silvarovelle.com to ask for general information about the locations in which relevant service providers process their data. Silvarovelle does not sell customer personal data.
Silvarovelle generally applies the following retention periods:
Information may be retained longer where reasonably required for active legal proceedings, regulatory inquiries, fraud search, or another applicable legal obligation. Personal data may be retained where reasonably necessary to administer transactions, address disputes, or comply with applicable Hong Kong legal obligations.
Silvarovelle uses administrative, physical, and digital safeguards intended to reduce illegal access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or misuse. Personal data is erased or de-identified when it is no longer required.
Silvarovelle will use personal data for direct marketing only after providing the information required by the PDPO and receiving the customer’s consent. Silence is not seen as consent. Customers may withdraw consent without charge by emailing outfits@silvarovelle.com. The request will be processed without unnecessary delay.
Silvarovelle will not transfer personal data to another party for its own direct marketing without the notices and consent required by Hong Kong law.
A customer may request access to personal data held by Silvarovelle or ask for inaccurate information to be corrected. For a formal data access request, the requester should complete the Data Access Request Form OPS003 provided by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data and email it to the Privacy Contact at outfits@silvarovelle.com.
The request should identify Silvarovelle as the data user and describe the requested records clearly. Silvarovelle may request information reasonably necessary to establish the requester’s identity and authority. Identity documents should not be supplied unless requested through an appropriate channel.
Correction requests may be submitted to the official email address and should identify the inaccurate information, the requested correction, and supporting information where appropriate.
Silvarovelle will handle requests within the period required by the PDPO. A fee permitted by law may be charged for complying with a data access request, but not for making a correction request. Where Silvarovelle lawfully refuses a request, it will provide the required reason and maintain any refusal record required by law.
This policy is interpreted consistently with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486), including its Data Protection Principles, data access and correction provisions, security and retention requirements, and direct marketing provisions.
Personal data may be retained where reasonably necessary to administer transactions, address disputes, or comply with applicable Hong Kong legal obligations. References to commercial legislation in other Silvarovelle policies do not describe those enactments as direct privacy record-keeping laws.
Silvarovelle may update this policy when its practices, service providers, or legal obligations change. The revised policy will display an updated effective date. Material changes affecting how personal data is used will be communicated where required. Questions about this policy should be sent to outfits@silvarovelle.com.
